I’m so happy that so many of you enjoyed my post about the 2019 Oregon Comic and Anime Conventions! Here are the conventions I could find for next year. I found a lot more conventions than I did last year thanks to you guys! Thank you so much for your input and helping out our nerdy brethren!

Instead of being in order by city I’m putting them in chronological order this time.

FANDOM PDX – JANUARY 4-5, 2020

Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel Formerly Newcon PDX/Anime PDX this fan convention has gaming rooms, film viewings, panels, artist alley and vendors.

Heroes and Villians Fan Fest- January 6, 2020???

The 2019 event was cancelled but this event for 2020 is still listed on Google and on a Facebook Event Page with very little information. The event page says that this event is hosted by Turn Up Portland and Turn Up Seattle so I’m not sure if this is linked to the Walker Stalker event or not. I hesitate to list it here but am hoping that maybe someone has more information about this 2020 event.

Wizard World Portland – January 24-26, 2020

Oregon Convention Center – Portland

Although this even is labeled as a “wizard” event it is a conventional comic con. In 2019 they had Jason Mamoa as a featured guest as well as Melissa Benoist, Tyler Hoechlin, and a bunch of actors from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There are panels, signings, artist alley, vendors and lots more to do. The guests for 2020 haven’t been annouced yet but should be coming soon.

Quality Suites Keizer, Salem Salem’s Anime Convention! This is a new to me convention that I found on Facebook! This is a con closer to me so I think I might take advantage and go in 2020. It has fan run content, contests, vendors/artist alley, gaming tables, viewing rooms and more!

CANCELLED Medford Comic con – April 25-26, 2020

Medford Library, the Rogue Community College-Riverside Campus, Astral Games, and outside of the Medford Library along 9th Street. Sounds like all of downtown Medford gets involved.

This is a pretty small con in it’s 6th year being held at the Jackson County Library in Medford. In the last couple of years it has teamed up with Rogue Community College and last year it boasted 20,000 attendees in a two day period. The programming includes cosplay, workshops, and vendors. Check out this video I found of this event!

RESCHEDULED Meadowlark – May 9, 2020   August 16, 2020

Ramada Medford

This seems like a pretty new con! 2020 will be it’s third year! This pop culture convention is only a one day event but has programming that includes cosplay contests, workshop panels, meet and greets, a vendor hall, and video game free play. Check out this YouTube video from last years event.

Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

This is Portland’ main furcon. It has some fun events like a dance, dance competition, games, karaoke, and a variety show! You can come in costume or not but it’s sure to be a fun event.

CANCELLED Salem Comic Con June 6-7, 2020

Oregon State Fairgrounds, Salem Only has a Facebook event page so far. I also think that this even is taking the place of another Salem convention that was held at the Oregon State Fair for a few years but has taken a hiatus since 2017. Brand new and will be held at the Oregon State Fair at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem. So far they’ve announced that Greg Cipes will be attending.

This is also not a normal comic/anime/fan convention.
