So on the heels of last week’s post about the utter decluttering fiasco that was the #nerdypurge project I decided to do something similar but a bit different.
I figured that since a daily challenge was not feasible and just did not work for me due to my extremely busy schedule, I would do something that only required a once a week commitment. Hopefully this change will take some of the pressure off and help me make some measurable progress for my 2019 goal of purging and decluttering my life.
Starting now, I am going to post a video to my YouTube channel of me decluttering something, anything. This could be a bag, box, space in my apartment, or whatever needs decluttering. I hope that by doing this on camera for all the world to see that I can be held more accountable for decluttering every week, and maybe bring some decluttering inspiration to viewers who are in the same cluttered boat. I’m also hoping that doing this once a week will be more doable than the everyday challenge that was just too overwhelming.
So this week I decided to start with a box that had been sitting on my entrance way stand for about two months. My Dad gave it to me full of some of my old high school things when I went over to help him clean out and move a night stand. Inside the night stand was various items including pretty old VHS tapes, Harry Potter stuff, and more.
Check out my video!
